I'm Ga-eun, 17, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- 1 hour a week

Thinking of you, Ga-eun. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Memphis.
Hope things get better soon, Ga-eun. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.
Rooting for you, Ga-eun. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Memphis
Stay strong. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Love from Guadalupe.
