Guidance wanted: Francisco's university applications
Francisco will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Francisco, 16, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until September. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you peace, Francisco. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in New York this morning. All the best
Sending good thoughts, Francisco. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
