Diya will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Diya, 18, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study computer science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until September. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

so sorry you're going through this, Diya. This could happen to any of us. After 15 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything

hang in there, Diya. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Dresden.
Hope it all works out. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless
