Guidance wanted: Denise's university applications
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Denise's essays until January.

I'm Denise, 17, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until January. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care, Denise. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Bakersfield.
You're not alone, Denise. This could happen to any of us. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Newport!
Sending strength, Denise. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.

Your post was clear and honest. Love from Ikeja.
Stay strong, Denise. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Jakarta.
So sorry you're going through this, Denise. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
