Guidance wanted: Cesar's university applications
A mentor for applications, essays and scholarships for a motivated first-generation student.

I'm Cesar, 17, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study civil engineering.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until March. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

good luck, Cesar. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Quezon City.
wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Rabat
Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Quezon City
Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Liverpool donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Quezon City
