A mentor for applications, essays and scholarships for a motivated first-generation student.

I'm Brian, 19, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study psychology.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Sending strength, Brian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Epe.
Study hard! I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Bonny.
So sorry you're going through this, Brian. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings!
