Guidance wanted: Amira's university applications
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Amira's essays until June.
Anywhere in the world1,025 views
I'm Amira, 19, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until June. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Glad we found this place.

Good luck, Amira. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Love from Townsville.
Hope it all works out. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care

Take care. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings!
