I'm Adalynn, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until June. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Los Angeles.

Study hard! My neighbor in Hamilton donated after I showed her your page!
So sorry you're going through this, Adalynn. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.

Best of luck, Adalynn. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Stay strong, Adalynn. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
