I'm Gianna, 19, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study civil engineering.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until October. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Rooting for you, Gianna. It takes guts to ask. Well done
Hope it all works out, Gianna. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 26 people at work. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this. Study hard! Take care
Thinking of you, Gianna. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours.
praying for you. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Accra
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.
Stay strong, Gianna. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
