Get Tatiane back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund
Tatiane drives for a living in Santos, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 12 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $500 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $45
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $370
• Labor charges: $85
Thank you for reading my story.

best of luck, Tatiane. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tatiane
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. towing and inspection is the biggest at $45. Thanks for looking so closely.
Take care, Tatiane. This could happen to any of us
How is Tatiane doing now?
Sending strength, Tatiane. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Kampala this morning!
Thanks for sharing this, Tatiane. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Take care.
You're not alone, Tatiane. This could happen to any of us. All the best.
you're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
