Get Roberto back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund
Without my ride-share car Roberto can't work; a $400 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $400 goes:
• rear axle replacement (parts): $180
• Labor charges: $110
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $90
• Towing and inspection: $20
Thanks for reading all this.

Stay strong. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Santa Rosa.
So sorry you're going through this, Roberto. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in San Jose this morning. Thinking of Iztapalapa.
Hope it all works out, Roberto. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted.
