Get Njoroge back on the road: my school-run minibus repair fund
Njoroge drives for a living in Likoni, and a broken rear axle has stopped all income for 5 weeks.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 5 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $300 goes:
• rear axle replacement (parts): $185
• Labor charges: $45
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $35

Best of luck, Njoroge. Hope the shop reopens soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Wishing you the best. Small businesses are the heart of Likoni. Hope you're open again soon. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Port Harcourt.
Thanks for sharing this, Njoroge. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out
Good luck. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
