Get Divya back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund
Divya drives for a living in Riverside, and a broken rear axle has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇺🇸 United States807 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 5 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $800. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $800 goes:
• Labor charges: $350
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $300
• Towing and inspection: $150
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Cape Town
Take care. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Riverside
