Get Dennis back on the road: my pickup repair fund
Dennis's my pickup is Dennis's only source of income and needs a fuel pump replacement costing $100.
🇬🇭 Ho, Volta, Ghana1,119 views
I make my living with my pickup. 10 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $100 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $45
• Towing and inspection: $20
• Labor charges: $35
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
Updates from Dennis
Good news. Because of your gifts ($97 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Update from Ho: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 75% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
We're at 45% thanks to 1 of you. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.
