Get Christian back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Without my taxi Christian can't work; a $900 repair would put him back on the road.
🇺🇸 United States556 views
I make my living with my taxi. 6 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $900. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $900 goes:
• Labor charges: $280
• gearbox replacement (parts): $440
• Towing and inspection: $180
Thanks for being kind about this.

Take care, Christian. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
