I'm ten months into recovery from stimulant addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. Glad we found this place.

  • wishing you the best, Gerhard. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. God bless!

    • Keep going, Gerhard. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.

      • take care. Your post was clear and honest. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.

        • Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Ekurhuleni.

          • Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Ekurhuleni.
