Gallbladder removal for Daniel: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled gallbladder removal in June is out of reach without help covering $3,600 of the cost.

Daniel was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in March. The surgeon at Regensburg Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,800, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,600 short.
my brother has been in and out of Regensburg Community Hospital since March. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,800 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Daniel struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Daniel won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
