Funeral costs for Lucas's grandfather, Fernando
Lucas lost his grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $1,400.

Fernando, my grandfather, passed away on 13 April after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 83 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 April.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Fernando to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $930
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $200
• Transport of the deceased: $150
• Memorial gathering for the family: $120
