Swati, my wife, passed away on 26 February after a short illness. She was 85 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 7 March.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Swati to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
