Friendly visitor needed for an 89-year-old neighbor in Jimma

An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Zelalem is asking for.

Jimma
I'm writing for my neighbor Zelalem, who's 89. Zelalem lives alone in Jimma, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Zelalem loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I hope life is good to you.
