Friendly visitor needed for an 81-year-old neighbor in San Diego

I'm writing for my neighbor Nathan, who's 81. Nathan lives alone in San Diego, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 891 kilometers away. Nathan loves opera, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Saturday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
