Friendly visitor needed for a 94-year-old neighbor in Kathmandu
Looking for a friendly person in Kathmandu to visit Manisha once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Manisha, who's 94. Manisha lives alone in Kathmandu, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Manisha loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing you peace. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
So sorry you're going through this, Pramila. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Mumbai
Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless.
thinking of you and your family, Pramila. Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Curitiba.
look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 21 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from San Diego.
