Friendly visitor needed for a 94-year-old neighbor in Edinburgh
Looking for a friendly person in Edinburgh to visit Swati once a week.
🇬🇧 Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom1,163 views
I'm writing for my neighbor Swati, who's 94. Swati lives alone in Edinburgh, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Swati loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
