Friendly visitor needed for a 93-year-old neighbor in Kampala

I'm writing for my neighbor Winnie, who's 93. Winnie lives alone in Kampala, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives 653 kilometers away. Winnie loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
