Friendly visitor needed for a 92-year-old neighbor in San Antonio
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Mauricio is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Mauricio, who's 92. Mauricio lives alone in San Antonio, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Mauricio loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care, Yolanda. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest
Hang in there, Yolanda. Wishing Mauricio a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Gulu donated after I showed her your page. God bless
