Friendly visitor needed for a 91-year-old neighbor in El Paso

I'm writing for my neighbor Tae-hoon, who's 91. Tae-hoon lives alone in El Paso, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives several hours away. Tae-hoon loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
