Friendly visitor needed for a 79-year-old neighbor in Jimma
Looking for a friendly person in Jimma to visit Ruth once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Ruth, who's 79. Ruth lives alone in Jimma, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Ruth loves cricket, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care, Hanna. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
Praying for you, Hanna. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Nottingham
Thanks for sharing this, Hanna. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless!
Sending love, Hanna. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Dhaka but we're thinking of you. Blessings!
Stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Sending love. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
this could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out!
Keep going, Hanna. Shared it with a few friends.
Thinking of you and your family, Hanna. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
