Friendly visitor needed for a 79-year-old neighbor in Atlanta

I'm writing for my neighbor Xiu, who's 79. Xiu lives alone in Atlanta, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 369 kilometers away. Xiu loves birdwatching, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
