Friendly visitor needed for a 78-year-old neighbor in Kassel

I'm writing for my neighbor Elias, who's 78. Elias lives alone in Kassel, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Elias loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
