Friendly visitor needed for a 78-year-old neighbor in A Coruña

I'm writing for my neighbor Gustavo, who's 78. Gustavo lives alone in A Coruña, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives 447 kilometers away.
Gustavo loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
