Friendly visitor needed for a 77-year-old neighbor in Thika

I'm writing for my neighbor Nyambura, who's 77. Nyambura lives alone in Thika, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives 519 kilometers away. Nyambura loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Glad we found this place.
