Friendly visitor needed for a 76-year-old neighbor in Kikuyu
Njeri lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Njeri, who's 76. Njeri lives alone in Kikuyu, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Njeri loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

wishing you peace, Mercy. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Belo Horizonte so I could bring a meal. God bless.
sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Cairo this morning.
rooting for you. Shared this with my family. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Rio de Janeiro!
hope things get better soon, Mercy. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Bang Khen
Rooting for you, Mercy. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
