Friendly visitor needed for a 76-year-old neighbor in Addis Ababa
Yared lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Yared, who's 76. Yared lives alone in Addis Ababa, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Yared loves gardening, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Tuesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
