Friendly visitor needed for a 75-year-old neighbor in Jakarta

I'm writing for my neighbor Kurniawan, who's 75. Kurniawan lives alone in Jakarta, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Kurniawan loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
