Friendly visitor needed for a 75-year-old neighbor in Giza

I'm writing for my neighbor Rahma, who's 75. Rahma lives alone in Giza, and lost a spouse of many years last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Rahma loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
