Friendly visitor needed for a 75-year-old neighbor in Birmingham
Rima lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Rima, who's 75. Rima lives alone in Birmingham, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away.
Rima loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Glad we found this place.

Keep going. Shared this with my family. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
shared it with a few friends. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Birmingham.
hope things get better soon, Dina. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did
Best of luck, Dina. Get well soon. All the best.
take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Sydney.
Sending good thoughts, Dina. Hope you get there. I hope October is when things finally get easier. God bless
Wishing you peace, Dina. Wishing Rima a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Put this on a community board in Newcastle this morning. Thinking of Birmingham
Thinking of you and your family, Dina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. God bless.
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Galway but we're thinking of you.
