Friendly visitor needed for a 74-year-old neighbor in Bogotá
Gonzalo lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Gonzalo, who's 74. Gonzalo lives alone in Bogotá, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Gonzalo loves old films, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Thursday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Mobile
Thinking of you. Get well soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Bogotá.
Good luck, Miguel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Agra
Keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Sending strength, Miguel. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from George.
