French help for Nadeesha, preparing for the national exam

Nadeesha is working hard on French but can't afford a tutor; 1 hours a week until the national would help enormously.

My younger sister, Nadeesha, is 11 and in Form 3. Nadeesha loves school but French has been a struggle since the school was closed during the move. The national exam is in October. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Dehiwala or online, for about twelve weeks. Nadeesha is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in French, you could change the course of Nadeesha's year. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.

      • As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Mumbai.
