French help for Janet, preparing for the university entrance exam

Janet is working hard on French but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the university entrance would help enormously.

My niece, Janet, is 16 and in the final year of school. Janet loves school but French has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The university entrance exam is in October. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Leicester or online, for about ten weeks. Janet is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in French, you could change the course of Janet's year. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Miles. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Niterรณi.
