Free tutoring hours for Waylon: mathematics online or in Parramatta

Waylon is working hard on mathematics but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the GCSE would help enormously.

My son, Waylon, is 13 and in Form 3. Waylon loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The GCSE exam is in September. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Parramatta or online, for about sixteen weeks. Waylon is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Waylon's year. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Praying for you, Mia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
