Usman is working hard on computer science but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the SAT would help enormously.

My son, Usman, is 14 and in Year 10. Usman loves school but computer science has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The SAT exam is in September. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Wudil or online, for about ten weeks. Usman is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in computer science, you could change the course of Usman's year. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Praying for you, Omolara. Hope you get there. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.

    • Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Ann Arbor.

      • Stay strong. Study hard! We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Hyderabad.

        • Rooting for you, Omolara. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
