My son, Ties, is 12 and in Grade 11. Ties loves school but physics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The university entrance exam is in October. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Amsterdam or online, for about twenty weeks. Ties is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in physics, you could change the course of Ties's year. Thank you so much.

Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Essen

                          • You're not alone, Marieke. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Amsterdam
