My son, Stavros, is 17 and in Year 10. Stavros loves school but physics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The national exam is in July. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Piraeus or online, for about twelve weeks. Stavros is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in physics, you could change the course of Stavros's year. Thank you for reading my story.

      • Hope it all works out, Petros. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.

        • Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Piraeus

          • you're not alone. This could happen to any of us. After 11 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything
