Free tutoring hours for Esteban: mathematics online or in Ciudad de México

Esteban is working hard on mathematics but can't afford a tutor; 1 hours a week until the school-leaving would help enormously.

My son, Esteban, is 16 and in the final year of school. Esteban loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The school-leaving exam is in June. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Ciudad de México or online, for about sixteen weeks. Esteban is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Esteban's year. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Stay strong, Guadalupe. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. God bless.

    • Good luck, Guadalupe. Hope you get there.

      • Thinking of you. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

        • Hope things get better soon, Guadalupe. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.

          • Take care, Guadalupe. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.

            • Wishing you the best, Guadalupe. Shared this with my family. God bless.

              • Good luck. Hope this works out for you. After 16 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Kampala.

                • Hope things get better soon, Guadalupe. Study hard! Take care.
