Basma is working hard on statistics but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the university entrance would help enormously.

Shubra
My niece, Basma, is 16 and in Grade 11. Basma loves school but statistics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the move. The university entrance exam is in September. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Shubra or online, for about sixteen weeks. Basma is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in statistics, you could change the course of Basma's year. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Shubra.

    • thanks for sharing this, Samir. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you

      • Thinking of you and your family, Samir. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.

        • Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
