Florence's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Florence won a place at Kasarani Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Kasarani Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the graphic design course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love graphic design and want to become a software developer. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
• Laptop: $70
• Textbooks and workbooks: $20
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. Take care
Hang in there, Florence. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Kasarani.
