Flash flood in Mansoura: help the families of Eastgate Lane rebuild
The flash flood damaged 15 homes in the families of Eastgate Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flash flood hit the families of Eastgate Lane on 27 June. My home was one of 15 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $550 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $290
• Clean water and purification supplies: $175
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $85
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Tema but we're thinking of you.
Good luck, Rashid. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Jessore donated after I showed her your page
