Fitria is applying to university - who can guide us?
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Fitria's essays until November.

I'm Fitria, 17, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up.
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings.
Wishing you the best, Fitria. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. After 25 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you the best, Fitria. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Rooting for you. Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update.
