Fighting thyroid cancer: help Aisha afford treatment in Soweto

Aisha was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. The oncology team at Soweto Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Aisha is 43, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Soweto Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
