Fighting stomach cancer: help Hiếu afford treatment in Da Nang
Supporting Hiếu through stomach cancer: medication, transport to Da Nang Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He cannot work.
🇻🇳 Vietnam957 views
In September I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. My oncology team at Da Nang Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 8 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 50, I worked as a cleaner at a hospital until September, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Da Nang Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $710
• Scans and lab work: $145
• Transport to Da Nang Regional Medical Center: $80
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $325
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you, Hiếu. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Da Nang.
Stay strong, Hiếu. I hope things turn around soon. I hope December is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Da Nang.
